Weekly appointments
will continue through June 15th unless Potomac Tutors receives a
written discontinuation notice by the 25th of the prior month.
(Ex: If you would like to cancel tutoring for the month of February we need
written notification by January 25th.) E-mail notification is
sufficient. _____

To cancel an appointment,
please call (301) 299-6789 or e-mail PTMichelle@potomactutors.com. In order
to receive a make-up appointment, you must cancel by 10 a.m.
on the day of the appointment. Make-ups cannot be applied to standing
appointments. Make-ups must take place by Wednesday, December 20th
for the Fall semester and by Friday, May 25th for the
Spring semester. We do not offer make-ups for students who cancel after
10 a.m. ญญญ_________

Potomac Tutors does not guarantee that a specific tutor will be available
for any make-up appointment. Please note that make-up availability may be
limited. Makeup appointments are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve
basis. Staff members who tutor the same subject can fulfill the
makeup. __________

Students who discontinue weekly tutoring are not eligible to reinstate
weekly tutoring for two months following the discontinuation. (Ex: if a
student discontinues tutoring as of December 1, they cannot resume weekly
tutoring again until February 1st, however single appointments at
the $90 rate are allowed.) Makeup appointments are not designed to extend
regular tutoring. They are a courtesy provided for appointments missed due
to illness or scheduling conflicts. Therefore, make-ups cannot be applied to
standing appointments. _________

Potomac Tutors serves both public and private school students. We do
not follow the MCPS calendar. Please consult the attached
calendar (also on our website at
www.PotomacTutors.com
) for scheduled closures. We expect students to attend all tutoring
sessions on days we are open unless you have given us prior notice
otherwise. __________

When schools close due
to weather reasons, please do not assume Potomac Tutors is closed.
Unless our voicemail recording says we are closed, we are open. Therefore,
we expect students to attend sessions as scheduled. (School closures are
decided in the early morning hours and in many cases weather conditions will
have improved by the afternoon/evening.) __________
- In
the rare case that a tutor is more than 10 minutes late to an appointment,
he or she will work with the student for the duration of the appointment and
will then offer to schedule an additional appointment at no extra charge. In
the event a tutor is absent, a qualified substitute will take his or her
place if at all possible. If no tutor is available, we will notify you and
will reschedule the appointment at your earliest convenience.
